Eugene is a third generation member of the Cooney family enjoying his life as a funeral director and following in the wonderful footsteps of his father and grandfather.  After graduating from Worsham Mortuary College, Eugene joined the family business in 2003.  He has lived in Park Ridge since 2004, being very active in the Park Ridge Community as a board member of the P.R. Chamber of Commerce.  As a member of St. Paul of the Cross Parish, Eugene serves as  weely lector and minister at the 7:30 Mass.  He is also a former board member of St. Paul of the Cross Men's Club.  Having an Irish background, Eugene is a 40 year member of the Irish American Heritage Center in Chicago, where he currently serves on the BOD and was president for three years.  Eugene says, "I love to get involved or help those who are involved to make a difference."  Eugene has a daughter Caitlin, who is a special educator at Washington School in Park Ridge.  If he finds any time to escape the many hours at the funeral home, Eugene enjoys being with his girlfriend Kelly, travelling on cruise boats and fishing at his summer  place in Camp Lake Wisconsin.  Eugene enjoys reading, he is a casual golfer, a wannabe comedian and a master card magician.

"It is a life long pleasure to be in the position to help families  and to earn the trust  and to be worthy of their confidence to decide in Cooney Funeral Home and have faith in us in their time of need."

Anthony Cooney has been a dedicated member of the Cooney family funeral service team since 2014. Following the family's tradition of serving others with compassion, professionalism, and respect, Anthony takes pride in helping families navigate some of life's most difficult moments.

Working alongside his uncle, Geno, Anthony has developed a deep appreciation for the meaningful role funeral service plays in the community. He is committed to providing personalized care and support to every family entrusted to Cooney's.

Outside of the funeral home, Anthony's greatest joy is his family. He is the proud father of twin daughters, who inspire him daily and keep him grounded in the values of love, commitment, and service that he brings to his work.

When he's not serving families or spending time with his daughters, Anthony can often be found dabbling in the custodial arts, taking pride in keeping things organized, maintained, and running smoothly. He believes that attention to detail—whether caring for a facility or caring for a family—makes all the difference.

Anthony is honored to continue the Cooney family tradition and to serve families with dignity, compassion, and understanding.

Cosmetologist

With over two decades of experience in the funeral industry, I am dedicated to providing compassionate and personalized services for families in their time of need. When I'm not assisting others, you can find me embracing the joys of motherhood with my three amazing children. Coming from a vibrant and close-knit family, I understand the importance of cherishing every moment together. As a seasoned cosmetologist, I have an eye for beauty and attention to detail that extends beyond the funeral home. My fur babies Francy and Patsy bring endless joy to my life as we explore the world together. From Chicago's Wrigleyville to serene Park Ridge, I've found solace in different corners of the world - including my beloved house in Ireland. A passionate traveler and food enthusiast, I love exploring new cuisines and sharing my experiences through restaurant reviews.
