Zulma O. Samos nee Ortiz, former wife of the late Spyros N. Vlachos and the late Dr. Ference H. Samos. Loving mother of Joanne Vlachos and step mother to Josh, Dan and John Samos. Devoted grandmother of Ashley and Lindsey Abboushi and beloved great-grandmother of Nicholas "Niko" Abboushi. Fond sister of Jani Flores. Visitation Wednesday 9:30am- 10:30am at Holy Name Cathedral. Zulma was an important team member in the creation of The Greater Chicago Food Depository, which first opened its doors in 1977. When she wasn't playing tennis at Midtown Tennis Club, Waveland, at the Symphony, Chicago Opera House, or teaching at the City Colleges of Chicago, she was a loving mother, grandmother, aunt, cousin and friend.
