Winfred "Win" John Gillis, 96, of Chicago, passed away on February 2, 2022. He was the beloved husband of 75 years of Veronica; loving father of John (Cynthia) Gillis, Paul (Sheila) Gillis, Marilyn (Rudy) Lading, Linda Ryan, Robert (Melissa) Gillis; proud grandfather and great grandfather of many. Win was a United States Veteran and served as a Quartermaster in the Pacific during World War II. He owned Gillis grocery in Lakeview for decades while raising his family in Chicago. Win loved his family, travel, golfing, fishing, and the Green Bay Packers. The Funeral will be held on Saturday, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Paul of the Cross Church in Park Ridge.
