Vilma Orucevic

Vilma Orucevic passed away on June 21, 2021 at age of 76, after a battle with cancer. She fought until her last breath, with grace and kindness which she exhibited in every area of her life. We were blessed to be with her every step of the way in this battle. She passed peacefully holding hands with her daughter Jasminka and son Damir.
Born in Labin, Croatia she spent her life teaching math and dedicated her life to helping others and raising her grandchildren. She left a mark on everyone who knew her. She was deeply loved by everyone, and will be remembered for her loving, kind, and compassionate heart. 
Vilma’s memory will be cherished by her beloved husband Mehmed; son Damir and daughter Jasminka; daugher-in-law Azra and son-in-law Mase, who she treated like her own children; grandchildren Kerim, Safia, Selma, Alem and Alma, whom she showered with love and home made birthday cakes every year; and many nieces and nephews she adored.

Visitation will be held on Monday, June 28 from 3:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at Cooney Funeral Home located at 625 Busse Hwy. in Park Ridge. Funeral Tuesday, June 29 2:00 p.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery located at 9900 Gross Point Rd. in Skokie. Please use the Gross Point Rd. entrance. Vilma Orucevic je preminula Juna, 21-og, 2021 u svojoj 76-oj godini zivota, nakon borbe sa rakom sa kojim se borila tiho i stojicki do zadnjeg daha. Bili smo uz nju svaki trenutak u ovoj borbi i svim srcem zeljeli da joj makar malo olaksamo. Preminula je mirno drzeci ruke svoje kcerke Jasminke i sina Damira.
Rodjena u Labinu, u Hrvatskoj, provela je cijeli njen zivot radeci kao profesor matematike, pomazuci drugima i u odgajanju svojih unuka. Ostavljala je impresiju na svakoga ko ju je poznavao. Voljela je svim srcem i  bila voljena isto tako. Sjecacemo je se kao plemenitu dusu, iz koje je isijavala blagost i dobrota u svakom trenu.
Najljepse uspomene na nju ce cuvati njen voljeni suprug Mehmed, sin Damir i kcerka Jasminka, snaha Azra i zet Mase, koje je uvijek tretirala kao svoju djecu, te unucad: Kerim, Safia, Selma, Alem and Alma, koje je neizmjerno voljela i svake godine iznenadjivala noninom domacom rodjendanskom tortom, i mnogi necaci i necakinje koji su bili u njenom srcu.
