Thomas P. McDonough

Thomas P. McDonough – Retired Sergeant, C.P.D. Devoted Son of the late Coleman and Mary (nee Conroy) of Connemara, County Galway, Ireland. Passed away on October 5, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Beloved Husband of Delores (Dee) (nee DeJonghe) and the late Eileen (nee Corbett). Loving Father of Colleen, Brett Benteler (Maggie), and Stefan Benteler (Melody). Proud Grandpa of Berlin and Vera Benteler, and Sofia Gomez. Cherished Brother of Teresa (Frank) Duffy, and the late Mary Ann (Joseph) Kotz, the late John (Darlene), the late Patrick (Ret. C.F.D.) (Margaret), the late Michael, and the late James (Ret. C.P.D.). Super Uncle Tommy to his Nieces and Nephews whom he adored, and also a Great and Great-Great-Uncle to many. Tom brought humor and nurturing to each and every one of us, holds a special place in all of our hearts, and will be missed immensely.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Shriner's Children's Hospital, St. Jude Children's Research, or Wounded Warriors Project would be appreciated.

Visitation Sunday, October 13, 3:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Cooney Funeral Home, located at 625 Busse Hwy in Park Ridge. Funeral Monday, October 14, 9:30 a.m.prayers going to Immaculate Conception for 10:00 a.m. mass. Interment Maryhill cemetery.
