Terry Ford, 79, passed away June 30, 2025, at his home in Chicago, Illinois,
surrounded by his loving family. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-
grandfather, and friend to many, Terry’s life was marked by strength, resilience, and
unwavering love for those closest to him. Born November 10th in Tipton, Iowa, Terry
was the son of Hilbert and Ina Ford. He grew up in Iowa alongside his siblings and
developed a passion for athletics. Terry shared a remarkable 59-year marriage with his
beloved wife Phyllis A. Ford (Luna). Together they raised a close-knit family that
brought them immense pride and joy. He is survived by his wife Phyllis; children
Mary Ford McKeon, Dawn (Tom) Klein, Kelly (Tim) Prince, Kevin (Gina) Ford;
grandchildren Heather Sidlo (Xavier Ramos),Haley Prince, Madison Prince (Matthew
Strang), Anthony Ponce Sidlo, Delanie Prince, Payton Prince; great grandson Ethan
Ramos: and several nieces and nephews. Terry’s legacy will be carried forward by
countless memories shared with extended family members and friends. He was an
amazing husband, father, grandfather, brother, great-grandfather, uncle—and above
all—a fighter. He faced illness with courage and dignity until the very end. He was
preceded in death by parents Hilbert and Ina Ford; Brother Hilbert Ford; and Sister
Judy Timm. A lifelong sports enthusiast, Terry was an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs,
Blackhawks, Bulls and Bears. Whether celebrating victories or enduring defeats with
characteristic loyalty, he found joy in cheering for his teams. May his memory bring
comfort to those who knew him and serve as a lasting reminder of a life lived with
strength, love and perseverance. Terry's life will be celebrated with a memorial
service at a later date.
