Sarah Gallen

Sarah ‘Celia’ Eveline Gallen nee Lowery, 77, was born in Ballydoolough, Corr na Mona , Co. Galway, Ireland. She passed away peacefully in Chicago, May 17th, 2024, surrounded by her family. Predeceased by her parents John and Ellen Lowery. Loving wife of the late Michael Gallen, Castlederg, Co.Tyrone. Loving Mother of Philomena, the late Teresa, John, Michael Gallen and Ann Marie (the late Martin) Nee. Cherished and beloved Grandmother to Colin, Colene, Eveline and Máirtín Óg Nee (RosMuc, Galway). Dear sister to the late Maureen (the late Horst) Brunk, Kathleen (Terence) Shiel, the late Phyllis (the late Tadgh) Murphy and the late Joe Lowery. Loving Aunt, Grandaunt and Great Grand-aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Sarah will be sadly missed by her many close friends and neighbors.

Visitation will be held Thursday, May 23, 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Cooney Funeral Home, 625 Busse Highway, in Park Ridge. 

Viewing Friday, May 24, from 10:30am at Holy Child Jesus, 2324 W. Chase with funeral mass at 11am. 

Interment at All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines.
