Ronald Carl Butera - passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with Parkinson’s Disease. Beloved husband of Mary Jeanne (Flaherty). Loving father of Barbara (David) Matusiewicz, Karen (Daniel) Grandon and Janice (John Griffith) Fleming. Adored grandfather of Nicole, Jason, Katelyn, Luke, Sara and Isabelle. Son of the late Carl and Lois Butera. Dear brother of Linda (Wayne) Zellers, Gina (John) Tillotson, the late John Butera and the late Lois Bychowski. Proud son-in-law of the late Patrick and Jeanne Flaherty. Cherished uncle to many nieces and nephews. Employee of AT&T for 35 years; member of IBEW. A proud Italian-American, passionate musician, skilled 16 inch softball player and a lifelong jokester until the end.

Visitation at Cooney Funeral Home, 625 Busse Hwy., Park Ridge, IL on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, from 3:00 to 8:00 pm. Friends and family are asked to meet at St. Paul of the Cross Church at 320 South Washington, Park Ridge, IL for Mass on Thursday, October 16, 2025, at 10:30 am. Mass will be live streamed at https://www.spc-church.org/blank-8

Interment private.
