Richard Sikora—Richard Andrew Sikora passed away peacefully on November 8, 2020, at the age of 29 in his beloved hometown of Chicago.
Richard recently completed his education and was pursuing his career as a Certified EPA HVAC Technician. Richard had a love for basketball as a player, coach, and referee. His passion for the game inspired many young players who he was able to influence and teach.
Richard believed in living life out loud. Throughout his life, he loved to be around people and never failed to make everyone smile. He was a good friend, a loving brother, and a caring son.
On any given day, you could find Richie enjoying a Honey Butter chicken meal while watching an episode of Seinfeld in his eclectic attire. He lived every day like it was a “Festivus for the rest of us.” To know Richard was to experience both the joys of nonstop energy and excitement, and the pain of life’s difficulties.
Most of all, many remember Richard for his vibrance, amusement, spontaneity, and charisma that he shared with everyone lucky enough to have been in his presence.
Richard will be lovingly remembered by his parents, Gene and Lorraine; sister, Laura; brother, Daniel; grandmothers Dolores and Patricia (Busia); many uncles, aunts, and cousins, and the countless souls he touched during his lifetime.
Visitation will be held on Saturday from 9:00 a.m.-11:30 a.m. at Cooney Funeral Home located at 3918 W.
