Regis Patrick Fay of Chicago, born on August 23, 1961 and left us too soon on October 6, 2021. Loving husband of 35 years to Cathy (nee Hudgin), cherished father to his pride and joy, Quinn and Brian. Retired FBI agent after 26 years of loyal service to our nation with Fidelity, Bravery, and Integrity. Devoted son of the late Kevin Fay of Co. Cavan, Ireland, and the late Mary Fay (nee Molyneaux) of Co. Kerry, Ireland. Fond sibling to the late Kathleen (George Strack), Bernie (Mary Ann), Kenny (Arlen), Dympna (Rob Richter), Frank (Taryn), Sharon (John) McInerney, and Rebecca (Larry) Decker. Son-in-law to Gloria Hudgin (the late Patrick), brother-in-law to Beth (Tom) Brosnan, Patrick Hudgin, and Michael (Sue) Hudgin. Favorite Uncle and friend to so many. Regis graduated from DePaul University with a degree in accounting, earning his CPA. His list of accolades both professionally and personally span from sports coaching, achieving black belt status in Taekwondo, becoming fluent in Spanish and earning a lifetime achievement award from the FBI.
Regis passions included a deep love for his family, his love of reading, coaching, biking, Ft. Lauderdale, culinary arts, Irish music, Irish history, Springsteen, renovation projects, and the company and conversation of family and friends. A memorial Mass Wednesday 10 a.m. at St. Paul of the Cross Church in Park Ridge.
