Patricia Ann Nelsen

Patricia Thuy Nelsen, 84, of Lincolnwood, passed away on February 11, 2026. Pat was the beloved wife of the late David Nelsen; loving mother of the late David Frank Nelsen, Paul Nelsen, and Julia (Matt) Nelsen Sellers; cherished Nana of Felix Nelsen, Shane Faulkner Nelsen, Oscar Nelsen, and Kes Sellers; and devoted daughter of the late Frank and Ruth Thuy. Pat was loved by all who knew her. She was lovely and kind. Her greatest pride and joy was her family. She was deeply proud of her children and grandchildren and found immense happiness in her role as “Nana”. Pat earned a teaching degree from National University. She was very proud she earned a master’s degree in Early Childhood Intervention Education from Northeastern. She was a devoted volunteer and supporter of Misericordia Heart of Mercy. An avid reader, she also enjoyed flower arranging and traveling. Among her most treasured experiences were living and working in England for a time and residing a few years in Chicago with a beautiful view of Lake Michigan—both of which brought her great personal joy.
