Patricia Mary (O’Malley) Meade

Patricia Mary Meade (née O’Malley), age 93 of Chicago passed away peacefully at home on July 3, 2023. Daughter of the late Patrick and Agnes O’Malley; sister to Vincent, Owen and Agnes. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband Garrett of almost 67 years and her 6 children: Garrett (Cathy), Mimi (late James), Kevin (Gayl), Michael (Elizabeth), Kara (James) and David (Michelle) and greatly missed by her 14 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, as well as her many nieces and nephews. Patricia spent 25 years as a registered nurse working with children and young adults.  She was devoted to her family and touched the hearts of everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her. She loved to read, listen to Irish music and was a tireless volunteer throughout St Gertrude’s Parish and for Misericordia Home.

Visitation will be held on Monday, July 10 from 3:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Cooney Funeral Home located at 625 Busse Highway in Park Ridge. Funeral Tuesday, July 11, family and friends are asked to meet at St. Gertrude Church, 1420 W. Granville Ave, Chicago, IL for Mass at 10:00 am. Interment at All Saints Cemetery, 700 N. River Rd, Des Plaines. In accordance with her wishes, we ask any donations be made to Misericordia Home, 6300 N. Ridge Ave, Chicago IL. 60660.
