To Mike's children your father was my boss during my SKF years but he was more than that, much more.  He called me years after I left to send his condolences on my loss.  It saddens me that I have to do the same for his children.  Your father was a good, good man I think of him often and am thankful to have had the pleasure of his friendship.
May God bless you all.

Mike, I´m so grateful to have met with you. Always smiling, always caring for others and a great friend and leader.
The last VSM Management meeting we shared thoughts about work and life during the brekfast. Your children ment the world to you and you were shining when you talked about them. You were also so happy for me moving to a new house and life.
I will miss you deeply, much more than word ever can say.
In my heart forever and see you some day again!
My deepest sympathies to your children and family.

While knowing Mike for many years, one highlight was attending the 2009 Indy 500 with Mike and his son, Michael.  What  a thrill to see Mike in action with his son...and the almost non-stop chattering, with so much enthusiasm, about Jenna and Jaclyn.

May God bless the McGrath family.

It was with immense sadness that I received the news on Saturday. I had the great pleasure of working with Mike for the last six years in VSM and appreciated him greatly. I will remember Mike as a strong character, a friendly spirit and a team leader that brings out the best in people. In other words a great man that will be truly missed. I would like to express my condolences and deepest sympathy to his family and loved ones.

I have worked for Mike for over 7 years but have known him for much longer than that throughout my career with SKF.  I have had to pleasure of having many discussions with Mike over the years and I saw the side of Mike that was so genuine in caring about others and his dedication to his wife and children.

Mike is a person that once you get to know the man, he will be etched in your heart forever as a very special person.

From the Schiele family, our prayers and thoughts to the family and friends of the McGrath family.

My deepest sympathy to Mike's family. Although I know none of you I had the pleasure of meeting your Dad over the past few years. He was a true gentleman and I will greatly miss our little talks at the trade shows. Also my wife will miss Mike's gift for the women on a show purchase.  He always had a smile and a hand shake, GOD BLESS

Dear Jenna, Michael and Jackie,

Mike has been a great colleague. He is always friendly, jovial and kind. I got to know him reasonably well as we have children of about the same age. I too have 3 kids. We used to share about how our children are doing in college and so on. One thing that I can attest to is the great love he has for the three of you. In one of our recent meeting in France, we had the opportunity to tour Paris together for a good part of a day while waiting for our flights home. He really wanted to spend time with you all and thought of planning family vacation with the 3 of you in Paris. I encouraged him to do so, telling him that soon, our children would have left the nest and time like this will be difficult to arrange. I am sure you would have wonderful memories of the time spent with your dad and mum even if this trip had not taken place. Mike will certainly be missed by many of us who had worked with him. May God grant you His comfort and peace during this time of bereavement.

Dear Jenna, Michael and Jackie, I had the opportunity to work closely with your father for the last 6-7 years. He was an excellent colleague and professional but he also became a great friend. We often spoke about life outside work and then always about the three of you. Although we have actually never met, I feel like I know you quite well. He was so proud of you! Mike was a fantastic person and everybody loved him, including my wife and three kids. I will miss him tremendously and I am deeply sorry for your loss.

To Mike's children and family,

I have known Mike for a long time in SKF but I had only worked with Mike for a couple of times... during those short moments, I found that Mike had a leadership that stands out and not only that, he is funny, really fun to work with, very supportive, active and caring.

You should be proud of your Dad, as for me, I'm really glad I had the chance to know him a bit.

Please accept my condolences,

A man in the middle of his life suddenly leaves us, his collegues at SKF, and his family and friends.
A man with so much energy and drive
A man with a clear mind and a clear view
A man so wonderful to work with and to have a laughter
A man worth while spending time with
A man like a 'brick in the wall' of our company
A man I will miss -and with me many other colleagues in SKF!
