Michael F. Conti

Michael F. Conti, born in Chicago, IL, on January 27, 1933, passed away at the age of 92, on February 21, 2025.  Beloved husband of Lois (nee Dacquisto) for 42 wonderful years. Loving father to Maurine Conti (Roman Sukley), Michael Jr. (Regina) Conti, Marianne (Craig) Burt, Matthew (Susan) Conti, Mark (Alma) Conti, Martina (Robert) Carr, and Joseph (Jennie) Conti. Cherished stepfather to James (Nellie) Pasala and Jeffrey (Eugenia) Pasala.

Michael was the proud grandfather of 20 and great-grandfather of 12. He was predeceased by his parents, Fabio and Alice Conti, as well as his brother, Louis Conti, and is survived by his sister-in-law, Elaine Conti, along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A 1956 graduate of John Carroll University, Michael enjoyed an illustrious career, spending over 40 years with Gonnella Baking Company. He served as president of the US Bocce Federation and represented it five times at the World Bocce Championships, showcasing his passion for the sport. Michael was also known for his multiple appearances at the World Series of Poker and was a long-time member of Alpine Country Club and the Mazzini-Verdi Club.

As Michael often said, “Family is not just an important thing, it’s everything.”

Visitation: Friday, February 28, 3:00 PM – 8:00 PM Cooney Funeral Home 625 Busse Highway, Park Ridge, IL.     

Funeral Service: Saturday, March 1. Prayers beginning at 9:30 AM at Cooney Funeral Home Proceeding to Mary, Seat of Wisdom Church 920 Granville Avenue, Park Ridge for Mass at 10:30 AM.

Entombment: All Saints Cemetery
