Maryann Guinane Obituary

Maryann “Maureen” Guinane (nee O’Neill) Beloved wife of the late Andrew. Loving mother of Michael (Lori) Guinane, Andy Guinane, Anna (Frank) Scimone, and Sean Guinane. Proud and cherished grandmother of Michael, Andrew, Patrick, Eileen, Meghan, and Anthony; great grandmother of Martin, Peter, Owen, and Charlie; dear sister of the late Margaret, Danny, Jimmy, Owen, and John Joe. Fond aunt of many nieces and nephews.

Maureen was born in Limerick on April 22, 1933 and left Ireland for England at an early age where she met her husband, Andrew. Together they set sail for America in 1958. They arrived in Chicago on the south side and were sponsored by Maureen’s uncle. They eventually packed it up and left the south side for the north side. She was a 60 year resident of the Lincoln Square / Ravenswood area. Maureen retired from Wilbur Wright College and was a caretaker for the elderly for many years before and after working at Wilbur Wright College. Family and friends are asked to meet at Queen of Angels Church  on Thursday morning for a one hour visitation from 9:30 a.m.  up to the time of Mass at 10:30 a.m.  Burial private immediate family only at St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery.
