Mary Mundt

Mary Ann Mundt (nee O’Connell), of Park Ridge, a beloved mother, proud grandmother, aunt,
and friend, passed away peacefully on April 5, 2025 at the age of 85.
Mary was born on September 15, 1939 in Chicago. She attended Our Lady Help of Christians
elementary school in Chicago. She later attended high school in Ireland while her family lived
for a few years in Milford, County Cork. Upon returning to Chicago, Mary met Donald Mundt and
they were married in October 1962. They were married for 59 happy years.
Mary is survived by her daughter Kimberly (David) Lynch, her son Brian (Laurie) Mundt and her
grandchildren Kathryn, Kevin, Molly, Hannah and Matthew.
Mary is preceded in death by her loving husband Donald and her dear sister, Catherine.
Visitation will be held at Cooney Funeral Home 625 Busse Hwy in Park Ridge from 3pm to 8pm on Thursday
April 10th. The funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Ransom Church at 10am Friday April
