Mary Pat Mazurski

 Mary Patricia “Mary Pat” Mazurski, 80, of Chicago, Illinois, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at 6:58 p.m., surrounded by family. Born on July 10, 1945, in Chicago to Walter Joseph Mazurski and Jane Patricia Ryan, Mary Pat was known for her sarcastic humor, spirted beliefs, and the way she collected and connected friends. She was an alumna of St. Andrew’s, The Immaculata, and DePaul University, and went on to build a career in blood banks and medical laboratory science, where her quiet dedication helped save countless lives. Beyond her professional work, Mary Pat poured her energy into her friendships. She encouraged everyone to feel comfortable and be themselves in her presence. From her club sisters to her book club, her neighbors, and later her “partner in crime” at Alden, Gloria, Mary Pat’s infectious spirit could be counted on to brighten any gathering and add joy to every situation. One of Mary Pat’s other greatest joys was her family. She is lovingly remembered by Mike and Jessica Boudreau; Steve Boudreau and Franco Sambataro; Kim, Tom, Declan, Hayden, Bre (Rahe), and Broden Sklena; Maureen Boudreau and Morgan and Mackenzie Kiely; and Kevin, Richie, Ethan, and Logan Boudreau, and by her longest and dearest friend, Margie Pesarisi, who was like family to her. She was preceded in death by her parents “Red” and Patricia, her sister Sally Boudreau, and her brother Johnny Mazurski. A visitation will be held on October 9, 2025, from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Midtown Funeral Home and Cremation Options 3918 West Irving Park Road, Chicago (Cooney Funeral Directors). Funeral Friday October 10, 2025, 9:45 a.m. to St. Andrew’s Church 3546 N. Paulina St, Chicago for Mass at 10:30 a.m. A luncheon will be held afterwards to continue the celebration of Mary Pat’s life. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Misericordia or Anti-Cruelty of Chicago in Mary Pat’s honor. The family also extends heartfelt thanks to the Alden North Shore care team and Family Home Health Hospice for their compassionate care in the final chapter of Mary Pat’s life.
