Mary T. Coyne, independent firecracker and world traveler, age 90 of Chicago, passed away on Sunday, June 30th. Mary was the devoted daughter of the late Michael and Bridget Coyne nee Mannion, immigrants from Ireland. Mary was a lifelong parishioner of St. Andrews Parish in Chicago where she attended noon mass every Sunday. She worked her way up the ladder in the banking industry during a time when it was male dominated. She was an avid reader, always having at least two or more books on her nightstand. A true Irish lady, she loved listening to The Hagerty Family Irish Hour on the radio. She is preceded in death by her sister Helen (the late Ronnie) McConnell, her brothers Patrick, William (Anasta) Coyne and her beloved sister Gertrude (the late Edward) Gordon. Survived by her sister Catherine (the late Robert) Rath and Michael (the late Stephanie) Coyne. Dear Aunt to many, many nieces and nephews as well as cousins and extended family, all of whom will miss her terribly.
