Martina Wolkober

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Martina Wolkober, a beloved
speech-language pathologist, on August 7, 2024. Martina was a resident of
South Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where she dedicated her life to helping others
find their voice and improve their communication skills.
Martina earned her Master of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology
from Marquette University, where her passion for helping others blossomed.
She went on to build a fulfilling career, positively impacting countless lives
through her dedication and expertise.
Martina’s professional journey was marked by her commitment to her patients.
She worked tirelessly at her practice, providing compassionate and effective
care. Her colleagues and patients remember her not only for her skills but for
her warm, empathetic nature and her unwavering dedication to improving the
lives of those she served.
Outside of her professional life, Martina was a loving daughter, sister, and
friend. She was a life-long fan of fishing and Wisconsin. Her laughter, wisdom,
and kindness left an indelible mark on everyone who had the privilege of
knowing her.
Martina's legacy is one of love, care, and unwavering dedication. Cherished
daughter of the late Mary and Edward, and beloved sister of the late Eileen
Manning, she is survived by her brother, Timothy, and her nieces and
nephews Patrick, Erin, Kevin, and Bridget, who will forever hold her memory
dear.

Visitation will be Wednesday, August 14, 9:00 to 11:00 at Cooney Funeral
Home, 625  Busse Hwy., Park Ridge, Illinois, followed by 11:30 Mass at St.
Paul of the Cross Catholic Church, 320 S. Washington Avenue, Park Ridge.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American
Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) in Martina’s name, to
continue her legacy of helping others find their voice.
Martina Wolkober’s gentle spirit and dedication to others will be deeply missed
but never forgotten. May she rest in peace.
