Mark Pokrak

Mark Edward Pokrak of Chicago, IL passed away on May 22nd, 2024 after a long illness.
Born on April 7,1964 in Elmhurst, IL, Mark had recently celebrated his 60th birthday by
visiting his mother, Jean, at her home in Minnesota. 
Preceded in death by his father, Vincent Pokrak, Mark is survived by his mother Jean (nee
Pankau), brother Steve Pokrak (Debbie), and sister Judy Pletcher (Doug) Mark was the
loving uncle of Samantha Pletcher, Cortelle Pletcher, and Daniel Pokrak.
A lifelong learner, Mark was a knowledgeable and witty conversationalist about many and
varied topics. His friends remember him as kind and considerate.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2024 at Messiah Lutheran Church
1605 Vernon Ave, Park Ridge, IL 60068. Visitation begins at 3pm with a 4pm service of
Holy Communion.
