Marilyn E. Wright

Marilyn E. Wright, nee Horan, 89, of  Glenview, formerly of Chicago, departed her earthly life October 19, 2021, to join her cherished daughter Jeanne, brother John, and parents Patrick and Mary. Marilyn was born on the North side of Chicago to Irish immigrant parents and later moved to St. Michael's parish in Lincoln Park. After graduation from Immaculata High School, she spent most of her adult life in Andersonville, retiring to Glenview. She was a valuable employee at the CTA, Playboy Enterprises, Palmer Florida, and Rosehill Cemetery. Marilyn enjoyed the Cubs and watching and feeding the birds and squirrels. Although Marilyn was faced with numerous trials, she always maintained a zest for life and a wry sense of humor. She nurtured many lasting friendships and will be sorely missed by all who knew her.  Visitation will be held on Saturday, from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:30 a.m. at Cooney Funeral Home located at 625 Busse Highway in Park Ridge.
