Marie Ann Feller, 88, was born September 9, 1935 in Chicago, to Jeremiah and
Cecilia (Kelly) Sullivan. She passed away peacefully Friday, May 17, 2024 surrounded
by her children. Loving mother of Marie Therese (Raymond) Knoll, Richard (Judith),
Margaret, John (Maureen) and Colleen (Robert) Gilligan; beloved grandmother of Sean,
Martin (Shelly), and Kevin Knoll; Haley (Spencer Schmidt), Keenan, Cullen, Mary, John
(Jess), Grace, Daniel and Thomas Feller; and Christopher Gilligan. Fond sister-in-law of
Thomas (Barbara) Feller and Margaret (Thomas) Campbell and dear aunt of many nieces
and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Nicholas J. Feller, Jr., her parents, and
her brothers and sisters in law: Sister Mary Loretta Feller, BVM, Rev. Richard J. Feller,
Jane (Joseph) Elbow, Audrey (Aloysius) Philipp, and Barbara (Leslie) Burton, and her
nephew, Timothy Burton.
Mrs. Feller was a homemaker and dedicated secretary at Queen of Angels School
for 26 years during the tenures of three principals. Beloved by students, teachers and
principals alike, when she retired the plaque they gave her said it all: “We all hold such
deep affection for you and all that you’ve so generously given us…We will never forget
you.” She lived her life with a firm trust in God and true devotion to her Catholic faith.
Together with her husband, she was involved in the parish for four decades, as well as a
volunteer at the Irish American Heritage Center.

Chicago 60660 or Aid for Women, 8 S. Michigan Avenue, #1416, Chicago 60603 would
be appreciated. Visitation will be held Thursday, May 23, 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Cooney
Funeral Home, 625 Busse Highway, in Park Ridge. Family and friends will meet for the
Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 24, at St. Juliana Church, 7201 N.
