Marianne Rehm Obituary

Marianne "Mimi" Flynn Rehm peacefully joined her beloved mother, father, and brother on November 30, 2024 at the age of 79 in the town of Park Ridge, Illinois. Mimi was a loving and beloved mother and grandmother who was always invested in the lives of her family.

Mimi was born to Mary and Vincent Flynn on February 3, 1945. She greatly enjoyed the time she spent with her parents as well as with her brother Tom. In adulthood, Mimi spent over two decades in dedicated employment to Crain's Chicago Business, working proudly to support her children. Mimi is survived by all four of her children: Natalie (Thad) Thompson, Nicole (Bill) Buzogany, Brady (Tara) Rehm, and Mary Rehm. She is also survived by her seven grandchildren: Hannah, Connor, and Chase Thompson; Ben and Mallory Rehm; and Grace and Lila Buzogany.

Mimi has been described by her family members as "everyone's biggest fan." The care she showed for the people she loved was something rare, precious, and constant. She spent much of her time finding articles on her family members' interests to stay engaged with all of them, and would check in on everyone with a conscientious awareness of the happenings in their lives.

Even while battling serious medical issues, Mimi remained strong and focused her energy on her family. Even now, she would surely tease all of her loved ones for worrying over her, and ask them about their days. Those who survive her have learned much from her care, and will continue to learn from her memory.
