Margaret Muraski

Mags Muraski (nee Reidy) , beloved wife of Thomas Muraski:  loving mother of Gerard (Annette), Shane (Sinead), Christy (Scott), Carrie (Marty), and Cathie; cherished grandmother to Rachel, Cian, Nathan, Amelia, Phoebe, Dylan, Jake, Sienna, Bella, Kenna, Hailey, and Connor; dear sister to Josephine, Mary, Ann, Brigid, Teresa, Ita, Geraldine, Richard, and Pauline; fond aunt and cousin to many, passed away peacefully at home on August 5th.

Mags’ hospital rooms were full of laughter and Irish accents in her last few months, surrounded by the same love and friendship that she gave to so many. Even in sickness, she was the toughest woman around, making jokes and becoming the favorite patient of every nurse and doctor that she met. She had a way of making everyone feel special with just a smile and when she gave an opinion, she gave it straight, letting you know that she was always the best person to ask if you needed advice. 

Maggie will be remembered as a woman who loved deeply, worked hard, and cared for those around her. There is a strong, beautiful angel up there, looking down on everyone now, making sure that everything is just right in heaven. She will be missed.

Memorial visitation at Cooney Funeral Home, 625 Busse Hwy., Park Ridge on Tuesday from 2 to 8 p.m. Service at 7:30 p.m. Memorial Mass Wednesday at St. Paul of the Cross 10:30 a.m. For more information call 847-685-1002
