Leonard Geis

Leonard Geis, age 92, built a remarkable life grounded in curiosity, dedication, and a passion for learning. He worked as both a mechanical and electrical engineer before sharing his expertise with generations of students at DeVry University. Leonard loved traveling the world, bicycling, and singing - interests that brought him joy, adventure, and lifelong memories. Leonard is survived by his devoted wife, Reinhilde, his son, Neil Geis (Dawn), his daughter Nickie (Mike) Cremins, and Opa to his grandchildren, Sean, Kayla, Mckenna, Connor, Grayson and Quinn. Leonard's legacy of humor, intellect and love will live on in the hearts of his family and all those whose lives he touched. Visitation will be held on December 5, 2025 from 9:15 a.m. till time of Mass at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Ransom Church 8300 N. Greenwood Ave. Niles. Interment All Saints Cemetery 700 N. River Rd. Des Plaines. In lieu of flowers, donations for Food for the Poor would be appreciated. www.foodforthepoor.org
