Keenan Giordano Casey

The family and many friends are saddened to share that Keenan Giordano Casey passed peacefully in his sleep on October 22, 2024, at the age of 29. Born on September 11, 1995, Keenan brought so much joy into the world, and to know him was to love him. He was a steadfast friend, a devoted husband and son, and always took genuine interest in others. An attentive conversationalist with a quick wit, Keenan was an “old soul” with a great passion for life. He loved spending time with family, golfing with his lifelong friends, supporting Giordano Dance Chicago, and cheering on theChicago White Sox.

Keenan was a proud graduate of Sacred Heart School, St. Ignatius College Prep and Butler University, and his work at Morningstar brought him great happiness. Remembering Keenan will be the love of his life, his wife, Sophie, his mother Nan Giordano, his father Matthew Casey, his mother and father-in-law, Heidi and Paul Darley, his sisters-in-law Audrey (Stephen) Welch, Maggie (Chris) Teets, his nephews and nieces Jack, Grayson and Olivia, his grandmother Alice Casey, his grandmother-in- law, Boni Jensen, his uncles Marc Giordano, Don Casey Jr., Jerry Casey, Brian Casey, his godparents Mort Kessler, Ben Hodge and Tina Monaghan, his “Aunts” Beth Tarrant and Lisa Casey, and his many friends and colleagues.

Visitation and funeral service will be on Monday, October 28, at Old St. Patrick’s Church with visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m. and funeral at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to One Tail at a Time where Keenan and Sophie adopted their “Gentle Giant” foxhound Chazie or Giordano Dance Chicago.
