John Albert Dworak was born to John Andrew Dworak and Josephine Jaskulski Dworak in Chicago Illinois. John is survived by his sister Marianne Araujo and his brother in law, Joseph Araujo. John was the proud uncle of Andrea Lisa Araujo and Joseph John Araujo. Proud GREAT Great uncle of Andrea’s son, Christopher Joseph Araujo.
John is survived by cousins who have enjoyed sticking together: Joyce (Rich) Carani; Alice (Bernie) Hellgeth; Jeseph (Tammy) Jaskulski; Robert (Linda) Jaskulski; Carol (Larry) Luer; Jane Jaskulski. And cousins on the Dworak side of the family, too numerous to mention.
John graduated cum laude from Loyola University. He developed a career as an international cosmetic chemist and traveled through six continents before business travel became easy. He traveled six months at a time. Between climbing the Bridge in Sydney, to visiting the Mayans to visiting Poland, John found adventure in travel. As part of his travels, John learned new languages and was fluent in four and comfortable in seven. He finished his career by working in banking.
He lived in Chicago surrounded by some of the best neighbors ever. He moved to Park Ridge in 2019.
As an uncle, John’s greatest joy was spending time first with his niece and nephew who he loved and took everywhere and engaged them as children to travel or visit museums at night or interesting places at interesting times. Later, Great ‘Uncle John’ was known everywhere in travel with Christopher. They did the museums, downtown, the ‘El’, karate, then basketball games and finally, the best New York vacation ever!
John was loved. Friendships lasted over the years. From old friends like Gus, Sally, Corinne and Frank and the whole Gunther Wesely Family to Sal and the whole Domiic Pantano Family. Roger Seinity and all the Windsors. Tree trimming with Marlene and Marilyn at the Araujo’s EVERY year. Laughed and danced with Missy. Friends too numerous to name. When asked for a description, they would say:
John has a smile and can make children smile. Everybody called him Uncle, He was loved.
