John Cronin

John Cronin, born 1934 passed into eternal life on 01/06/2026.  John (91 years old) spent most of his life in Chicago, IL. He was born in Fort Robert, Ballineen, County Cork, Ireland.  John was preceded in death by his parents, Denis and Julia (nee Hurley), brothers Michael, Denis, Jerry, and Connie, and sister Bridie O’Mahony (nee Cronin).  John is survived by his wife of 58 years Anne (nee Donnelly), and children John (Jennifer), Patricia Luedecke (nee Cronin), Michael (Jennifer) and Kevin (Laura).  He is a grandfather to nine and great-grandfather to two.  John was a devoted husband, generous father, and loving grandfather. He loved Jesus and cherished his faith.  May he rest in peace.  John will be waked at Cooney Funeral Home 625 Busse Hwy., Park Ridge on Friday January 9, 2026, from 3pm - 8pm.  Funeral Saturday January 10, 2026 11:00 a.m. to St. Juliana Church 7201 N.
