James Joseph McHale, age 83, Chicago, passed suddenly on October 1, 2020. Loving husband to the late Bridget (O’Hara); proud father to James A. (Teri), Margaret (Peter) Erdelyi, and Edward (Dorothy); grandfather to Samantha, James, Michael and Caitlin; son of the late James and Catherine (Tunney) McHale; brother to the late Edward (Patricia), Cathleen “Kay” (Floyd “Mac”) McGough; adored uncle to many. James is finally with his loving wife, Bridget, who passed away almost 25 years ago. James was an accountant and still filed taxes for clients up until last year. Horner Park Baseball Coach for many years. He was a devoted Cubs fan and could cite statistics from the 50’s all the way up until recently. In 1985, he sent a letter to Cubs pitcher Rick Sutcliff telling him how to fix his mechanics.
