James John Sullivan died peacefully surrounded by family on June 12, 2020. Loving son of the late Martin and Della (nee McDonagh) Sullivan; dear brother of the late Marie (Vince) Gartlan, Rita Watson, Marty, and Joe Sullivan. He is survived by his sister Sharon (Thomas) Grego and brother William (Joyce) Sullivan, as well as Dr. John Watson, Karen, and Mary Lou Sullivan. Adored uncle to 18 nephews and nieces.
Born on Chicago’s north side, Jimmy attended St. Andrew grammar school and St. Benedict high school. He was a dedicated employee at the Illinois Racing Board for over 35 years. A longtime resident of Wrigleyville, Jimmy was a devout Chicago Cubs fan and held many other passions, including music, westerns, James Bond, and Pepsi.
