James Heneghan, 94 Of Seangorth Co. Mayo, Ireland passed away on Sunday May 14, 2023. Beloved husband of the late Dolores; loving father of Mary Pat (Joseph) Kohberger, Eileen (Brian) Stout, Thomas (Robin) Heneghan and James (MaryKay) Heneghan; adoring grandpa of Jimmy Kohberger, Murray Heneghan, Ted Heneghan, Finn Heneghan and Betsy Heneghan; uncle of Kevin (Erin) Heneghan; great uncle to Harper Roisin Heneghan; fond brother to Pat (Nora) Heneghan, Eileen Heneghan and Nancy Heneghan (Srah, Ireland). Proceeded in death by brother Thomas Heneghan (Srah, Ireland), sisters Mary Dorney and Catherine Heneghan; sisters-in-law, Nora Heneghan and MaryLou Smith.

Visitation will be held on Thursday from 3:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at Cooney Funeral Home located at 625 Busse Hwy. in Park Ridge. Funeral Friday, family and friends are asked to meet at St. Celestine Catholic Church, 3020 N. 76th Ct. in Elmwood Park for Mass at 10:00 a.m. Interment All Saints Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Mercy Home for Boys and Girls, Chicago IL at https://www.mercyhome.org/
