James Cooney, native of Innisbarra, Lettermore, Co. Galway Ireland. 79 years old. Loving husband of Maureen for 54 years. Loving father of Sarah (Richard) Godley, Barbara (Abel) Contreras and James. Beloved Grandfather of Aileen, Liam, Joseph, and Abbie. Fond Son of the late Thomas and Barbara, dear brother of Nan (the late Sean Fiolan), Tom (Nora), Peige (Sean Donoghue), Barbara (the late Michael Flaherty), the late Michael, Nora, Patrick, Morgan, Mary (the late Coleman), Kate (Robert), Sean (the late Kathleen), Joe (Marie) and Bridget.Visitation Wednesday 3:00pm-8:00pm at Cooney Funeral Home located at 625 Busse Hwy. in Park Ridge. Thursday, family and friends are asked to meet at St. Benedict's for 10:00am mass. Interment All Saints Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Alzheimer's Foundation
