Gregg Weghorst Obituary

Weghorst, Gregg William--It is with profound sadness, that the family of Gregg Weghorst announce his passing on May 20, 2020, after a brief illness. A life-long Chicagoan, he was born on December 18, 1943, to Henry and Margie Weghorst. Gregg was predeceased by his father, Henry, and his beloved wife, Mary (nee Soch).

He is survived by his loving mother, Margie, of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, brother-in-law Henry (Barbara) Soch, sister-in-law Christine (Patrick) Summers, niece Stephanie (Anthony) Guzzardo, great-niece Sophia Guzzardo, and fiance Gina Landes.

Gregg worked for manty years at AT&T. As an army veteran, after his retirement, he devoted many hours to the American Legion, serving as a post chaplain. An accomplished and avid musician, he was an active member of the Chicago Accordion Club.

Gregg's endearing sense of fun, his humor, his generosity, and kindness to so many people, leave a lasting legacy for his family and many friends.
