Geraldine L DiFranco

With great sorrow yet deep love and gratitude for a life well lived, the family of Geraldine L. DiFranco (nee Allegretti) announces her peaceful passing on September 9, 2025, at the age of 93. Born on June 19, 1932, she lived her life with unwavering faith and kindness, while always keeping God and her family first. Married 73 years to the love of her life, Dr. Paul A. DiFranco Sr., together they built a legacy of love and family rooted in their faith.

She was the cherished mother of Dr. Charles F. DiFranco (wife Kim), who preceded her in death, Dr. Paul A. DiFranco Jr. (wife Dr. Linda), Dr. Geri DiFranco (husband Paul Davies), Frank DiFranco (wife Angela), and Dr. Josephine DiFranco Bordignon (husband Dr. Thomas V. Bordignon). She was the proud and loving “Nana” of 12 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, each of whom brought her immense joy.After raising her family, she attended Northeastern University and graduated Summa Cum Laude with her children in the stands cheering her on. Her family finds comfort in knowing that she is now reunited in eternal life with her son, Chuck, and held in the loving arms of her Savior.

A visitation will be held, Friday, September 12, 2025 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at Cooney Funeral Home, 625 Busse Hwy, Park Ridge, IL.Funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2025, beginning at Cooney Funeral Home at 9:00am. Followed by procession to Saint Paul of the Cross Church, 320 S. Washington Ave., Park Ridge, IL 60068, for Mass at 10:00am. Interment at All Saints Cemetery.
