Frank H. Bode

It is with great sadness that the family of Frank H. Bode announces his passing on August 31st, 2024. Frank was the cherished husband of Eileen (Murphy) Bode, loving father of Frank C. Bode, Kathleen (Daniel) Sachs, and Jennifer (Andrew) Muchoney. He is also the devoted grandpa to Emma and Cassandra Muchoney. Frank is preceded in death by his parents Frank C. and Alena B. Bode. Frank’s greatest joy in life was caring for his granddaughters. Ever the sports fan, Frank was a life-long Chicago White Sox fan. He also cheered on the Chicago Bears, Notre Dame Fighting Irish, and Chicago Bulls. Finally, Frank was an avid reader and enjoyed reading (and arguing) about history. Frank was a former employee of Jewel Foods, Libby, McNeal & Libby, Keebler Cookies, Delicious Foods, and Klein Tools.

Visitation will take place at Cooney Funeral Home at 625 Busse Highway, Park Ridge, Illinois on Thursday September 5, 2024 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  On Friday September 6, 2024, family and friends will meet at Cooney Funeral Home at 8:30 a.m. for prayers before traveling to Mary, Seat of Wisdom Catholic Church, 920 Granville Avenue, Park Ridge, Illinois for a 10:00 a.m. Funeral Mass.  Interment will be at Elm Lawn Memorial Park at 401 East Lake Street, Elmhurst, Illinois. 

In lieu of flowers, please contribute to the Parkinson’s Foundation, American Heart Association, Rainbow Hospice, or request a Mass to be said in his name. 

We will carry Frank’s memory in our hearts always.
