Eileen M. Burkwest

Eileen M. Burkwest (nee Morton) 81, of Des Plaines formerly of Whitewater, WI passed away on April 23, 2025 after a brief illness.

Beloved wife of the late Timothy Burkwest. Loving mother of Kelly Weissman, Kevin (Kim) Chester and Patrick (Trish) Chester and stepchildren Erica Burkwest, and the late Jamieson Burkwest. Cherished grammy of Jeff (Kate) Weissman, Glenn Weissman, Michelle Chester and Abbey Chester. Dear sister of Patsy (Don) Crockford, William (Janice) Morton, JoAnne (Graham Skinner) Morton and the late Dennis Morton. Fond aunt and friend to many.

Eileen was a unit secretary at Lutheran General Hospital.

Visitation to take place on Wednesday, April 30th from 4-7pm at Cooney Funeral Home 625 W. Busse Highway.
