David F. Dickey

Deltona - David F Dickey, 69, passed August 4, 2024 in Orlando FL. Survived by his wife of 40 years Linda (nee DiGirolamo), 6 children Jonathan, Paul, Brian (Sarah), Mark (Rachel), Elena (James Hemphill) and Sarah (Randall Mahler), 11 grandchildren, David, Alexandra, Blake, Silas, John, Delilah, Laura, Zoey, Kloe, Noah and Kyleigh and 2 great-grandchildren Catherine and Oliver. Also 2 brothers Darren (Olive) and Dale (Tammy). Preceded in death by his parents LeeRoy and Marilyn (nee Zielinski) and brothers Daniel (Janet) and Dennis. A 38 year resident of Park Ridge, IL, David was an assistant softball coach, a club leader and member of the PTO Playmakers. David proudly served as an Auxiliary Police Officer with the Rosemont Police Dept from 1978 until his retirement in 2000. He was a proud member of the Blue Knights motorcycle club and a longtime member of Carpenters Union Local 80 where he served as a Superintendent of Construction. Family invites all to Cooney Funeral Home at 625 Busse Hwy. Park Ridge, IL 60068 on Saturday October 12, 2024 from 12pm-4pm with a Celebration of Life to begin at 4pm. David chose to have his ashes spread at sea with his wife following her passing in the future.
