Daniel Purciarello

Daniel M. Purciarello, beloved husband of Mary (née McDonald), loving father of
Michael, cherished brother of Karen (the late Edward) Kowalski, John (Mary Gately)
Purciarello and Jim (Mary) Purciarello. Dan was a treasured Brother-in-Law, Uncle,
Cousin, Godfather and Friend to All.
Born and raised in Chicago, Dan attended St. Genevieve Catholic School, St. Ignatius
College Prep, and the University of Illinois in Champaign Urbana. Dan was a
Landscape Architect for the Chicago Park District. He worked on many city projects
including Ping Tom Park, Lincoln Park Children’s Zoo, Jonquil Park, Indian Boundary
Park. He was involved in the Playground Renovation Program, Floral Bed Program and
served as Director of Conservatories.
Dan was well known for his record collection and love of music, especially jazz.
Rest in Peace Dan. Your legacy lives on in the countless lives you touched.

Visitation will be held Tuesday September 10 2024, 3:00pm- 8:00pm at Cooney Funeral Home located at 625 Busse Hwy. in Park Ridge.  Wednesday September 11 2024, family and friends are asked to meet at St. Mary of the Woods for 10:30am mass.
