Daniel Geevarughese

Geevarughese Daniel, born on June 3, 1946, in Mavelikara a town in Kerala India, passed away peacefully on September 28, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love, compassion, and generosity. As a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, he cherished every moment spent with his family especially his beloved grandchildren, whom he adored deeply.

Geevarughese was a man of great character, known for his caring and loving personality. His warm spirit and gentle nature endeared him to all who had the privilege of knowing him. He remained consistently in contact with his friends and family, illustrating the strength and importance of those relationships in his life.

Having honorably served in the Indian Army, he was a proud veteran who carried his service with dignity. After his military career, Geevarughese dedicated himself to philanthropy, successfully donating funds to enable others to pursue their education in the medical field, highlighting his commitment to supporting the dreams of others.

Geevarughese is survived by his loving spouse, Thankamony Daniel, his cherished daughter, Julie Thomas(Sandeep) Elizabeth(Anu) and son Liju Daniel(Meera) ; his grandchildren: Ryan Thomas, Melvin Thomas, Joanna Thomas, Allen George, Aleena George, Alfred Daniel, and Emy Daniel. He leaves behind a family profoundly influenced by his kindness and love.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during the visitation to be held at Cooney Funeral Home, located at 625 Busse Hwy, Park Ridge, IL 60068, on October 3, 2024. The visitation will start at 10:00 AM and continue until 1:00 PM, providing an opportunity for loved ones to share memories and celebrate the life of a remarkable man.

Geevarughese Daniel will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to share in his life.
