Charles Farley

Charles Roy Farley, 65, of Niles, IL passed away peacefully on Monday, August 23, 2021, surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Maureen Gleason for 42 wonderful years; amazing father of Erin Farley (Jeff Hingtgen), Brian (Sarah) Farley, Sean CPD (Jacqueline) Farley, Brendan (Nicole) Farley, Gavin (Kelsey) Farley, Austin Farley, and Dylan (Meghan McGinty) Farley; and cherished grandfather/papa of Damon, Tristan, & Brinn Hingtgen; Tommy Farley; Liam, Charlie, & Teddy Farley; Jackson, Lincoln, & Kennedy Farley; and Baby Farley-October 2021. Charlie is survived by his brother, Raymond “Bud” (Mary Ann) Farley and sister, Mary Rose (Dale) Mallard. Born in Springfield, IL, Charlie graduated from Limestone High School in Bartonville, IL, and earned his BS in accounting and his MBA at Southern Illinois University. Charlie went on to obtain his CPA and had a successful career in public and private accounting along with stints as Mr. Mom to his 7 children. Charlie’s greatest joy was his family. He enjoyed spending time at the Gleason Family  Compound with his wife, children, and grandchildren as well as his extended family of siblings, cousins, brothers and sisters-in-law, and his 50 nieces and nephews. He also loved riding his Harley and driving his 1970 El Camino. Visitation will be held Friday, August 27 from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Cooney Funeral Home, 625 Busse Hwy, Park Ridge, IL.
