On Sunday December 23, 2018 at 10:28 am Carmelo Reyes Sr., 70 years old, of Humacao, Puerto Rico, loving husband, father and grandfather passed away surrounded by his loved ones in Chicago, Illinois. Carmelo Reyes Sr. was a happy man who enjoyed his life. He was a great provider, role model and the Chicago Cubs number one fan.Carmelo Reyes Sr. was born to Carmelo Reyes and Luisa Rodriguez. He was the youngest of five children. His siblings are as follows, Aurora Reyes, Fernando Reyes, Aurelia Reyes and Luis Reyes.His greatest treasures were his beloved wife Marlyn Reyes of 48 years, and his four children, Carmelo Reyes Jr., Herbert Reyes, Katherine Pagan and Brian Reyes, and his twelve grandchildren which were his greatest blessings. Herbert Reyes Jr., Carmelo Reyes IV, Benjamin Pagan IV, Christian Reyes, Brian Reyes Jr., Elyssia Briana Reyes, Jeremiah Jaden Pagan, Noah Alexis Pagan, Emma Reese Pagan, Kaleb Reyes, Elijah Jaime Reyes, and Eliana Marie Reyes. A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, December 28th, 2018, from 3 pm until 9 pm at Cooney Funeral Home, located at 3918 W. Irving Park Road, Chicago, IL 60618. Words of gratitude from the family, music and prayer will begin at 7 pm.
