Brigid Madden Obituary

Brigid Madden (nee Folan) 81, died Friday, March 10th with her girls by her side. Bridgie was born June 13, 1941 in Roundstone, Co. Galway Ireland to Pat and Delia Folan. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sisters Maureen and Veronica and nephew John Nee. She is survived by her daughters Maura (Chris) and Patricia, her grandchildren Aidan and Caitlin, siblings Anne (late John) McLaren, Joe (Sharon) Folan, Kathleen (late John) Mullen, Eileen (Sean) DeCourcey, Sheila (late Gene) O’Driscoll, Dorothy (late Michael) Mullen and Paddy (Annie) Folan, many cousins, nieces and nephews and friends from near and far.

Bridgie was a resident of Chicago, New York and Roundstone for years in the past and after retiring from the Clifden Credit Union she moved back to Chicago in 2008 where she volunteered at Lutheran General Hospital and Saint Paul of the Cross Church. She was also a member of the Irish American Heritage Center.

Funeral Friday, March 24th 10:00 a.m. at Saint Paul of the Cross Church, Park Ridge. A livestream of Mass can be viewed at https://www.spc-church.org/mass-videos#s5_pos_bottom_row1_1 .
