Ann B. Mannion

Ann B. Mannion (nee Halloran) age 96, native of Kilbricken-Rosmuc Co. Galway, Ireland passed away February 21, 2021 at home surrounded by her family. Beloved wife of the late Michael Mannion, loving mother of RoseAnn Taylor, the late Theresa Smith, Mary (Patrick) Walsh, Michael (Elda), Kevin, Barbara McDonagh, Margie (the late Martin) Garcia; Beloved Nannie to MaryAnne, Mikey, Patrick, Danielle, Anthony, Michael, Gabriel, Joelle, Rory, Neive, Shaun, Sonny, Vincent and Mia. Great-Grandma to Philip, Joshua, Michael, Charlotte, Richard and Thomas.

Ann came to America in 1947 landing in San Francisco then to Boston and finally settling in Chicago. She married her husband Mike in 1954, they were married for 58 wonderful years before God called him home in 2012. Together they raised seven children and two of their oldest grandchildren. Ann was always so loving and kind, welcoming everyone into her home with open arms, a great laugh, a cup of tea and of course some Irish soda bread.

Her children want to thank and acknowledge her amazing caregivers: Ronnie, Red, Junior and Joem who so tenderly cared for their mom over the years.

Visitation will be held on Thursday from 3:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at Cooney Funeral Home located at 625 Busse Hwy. in Park Ridge. Funeral Friday, 10:00 a.m. Mass at Queen of All Saints Basilica.
