Angelo Aaknes
December 31, 1991 – March 30, 2023
Angelo Ramon Emil Aaknes (Chuck), 31; beloved son of Tamara Aaknes; loving brother of Antonio Aaknes and Alexiana Centeno; adored grandson of Conrad & Mary Ann Aaknes, Donna Vega, and Steve Brown; proud uncle of Lilliana Aaknes. He will be forever remembered by his uncles, Rick, Mike, Jason, Anthony and Mikey, his Auntie Gina, extended family (including countless cousins), and his many friends.
Born on New Years Eve, Angelo was destined to be the center of attention. He was the life of every party and always had a smile on his face. All who knew him would agree, he had the most contagious laugh and the biggest heart. He would help anyone in need, but his greatest quality was his ability to forgive and encourage others to succeed and live their best life.
Angelo loved his family immensely and frequently expressed it verbally or with one of his famous bear hugs. His love of music was evident at a very young age, and he never stopped dancing or singing (even when he didn’t know the words). He attended countless concerts, but he enjoyed spending most of his time at home with loved ones; especially on a cool Fall day, watching football, wearing one of his many unique hats or hoodies, and eating his favorites - pizza and mozzarella sticks. We will remember, celebrate, and attempt to emulate all the qualities he embodied: kindness, compassion, forgiveness, and unconditional love.
A memorial will be held on Sunday, June 4th, from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Cooney Funeral Home located at 625 Busse Hwy. in Park Ridge. For information please call 847-685-1002 or visit www.cooneyfuneralhome.com
