William James O'Leary, 73, died May 3, after a brief illness.  Bill was the son of the late William J and Ann Kuvik O'Leary.  He was the loving father of the late Susan, and of Maura and Margaret O'Leary.  He was a doting grandfather to Devin and Catherine O'Leary; Nathan and Cameron Lee; and Brendan and Fiona O'Leary Bradford. The beloved brother of the late Diane O'Connor; Judith and Daniel Brearley; Marilyn O'Leary; and Susan Holm, he was also the dear uncle of many nieces and nephews.

Born January 5, 1946, and raised on the South Side, Bill enlisted in the Marine Corps during the Viet Nam War, and served a tour of duty near Danang.  After working in the banking industry for several years, he obtained a master's in healthcare administration from Rush University, becoming a healthcare data analyst. A history buff, in retirement he continued to enjoy voracious reading and spending time with his daughters and his six grandchildren, whom he adored.
