With profound sadness we announce the passing of Bill, a loving and devoted husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend to all whose lives he touched, on January 29, 2021. Bill left us suddenly and far too soon while sleeping at his residence in Niles, IL. He was only 49 years young.  Bill is the loving son of the late Frank and Arlene Gusek. Bill is survived by his cherished wife of 25 years, Connie and his daughter and the light of his life, Ashley, his dear sister, Sandi (nee Gusek) and John Grimes, and his darling grandparents, Anne and the late William Gusek. Bill was an adored son-in-law to Larry and Theresa Cheever. Bill was a devoted brother in law to Eileen and Larry Jenkins, Patty and John Kleinhubert, Margie and the late Jeff Jenkins, and the late Joey Cheever. Bill was also a treasured uncle, great-uncle to Nellie Rose, and friend to many others. All who knew Bill, knew that Life Is Good. Bill was a man who exuded love, kindness, and humor. A man who is and forever will be deeply missed and loved.  Today and everyday, Bill's sharp comments followed by his joyous laugh, his love for Connie, Ashley, Charlie, and Toby (and for his beloved Blackhawks and Yankees), and all of the things he did for his family - not because he had to, but because he wanted to - will be fondly remembered and greatly treasured.  Visitation will be on Tuesday at Cooney Funeral Home 625 Busse Hwy Park Ridge from 3-8 p.m. In honor of Bill's love and devotion to the Chicago Blackhawks and New York Yankees, please join us in wearing any fan gear that you may have in his memory.
