Wilhelm Huening, age 81, passed away peacefully on January 19, 2020 with family at his side.  He was born on June 21, 1938 in Bocholt, Germany. He was the son of the late Wilhelm Huening and Adele (Jansen); brother to the late Louise Hinkle, Hannelore Methling, and Herbert Huening. Willi was one of a kind, adventurous, and full of life. He loved hunting, sailing, and being with family and friends. He was the beloved husband of Ilsetraut (Ille) (Anstoetz); father of Elisabeth Huening Dopp, and Dennis Huening; proud grandfather of Welle, Erik, Viken, and Brandon; fond brother-in- law; nephew to Charlotte Werth; uncle to many nieces and nephews. He will be missed by many. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 24 from 3:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m., with a service at 7:00 p.m. at Cooney Funeral Home, 625 Busse Highway, Park Ridge, Ill 60068.
