Walter R Chmielewski age 92 died peacefully in his sleep on Jan 24th 2025 at Ascension Alexian Brothers - Hospice Residence.  A proud veteran of the US Army. He was a Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother, Uncle ,Companion and friend to many.  A long time employee of People's Gas Co. and resident of Chicago's NW Side.  Walter was a kind and gentle person and Cubs fan; a real foodie he could tell you all the best spots in the city . A private memorial service will be held in his honor and Interment will be private.
