Verna C McFadden (nee Ramcheck) 93 of St. Charles IL, beloved wife of the late Frank (Bud) McFadden passed away peacefully on March 25, 2017 at home, surrounded by her family. She was the most amazing, loving Mom to Bob (Joyce), Barb (Jack) Bail, Ken (Collins), Jim, Sharon (Jerry) Knowles and Diane (Andy) Spicer. Dear sister of the late George, Smokey, Frances (Garr), Helen (Lukaszevig), Mary (Galloway), Alice (Groh), and Gertie (Lukaszevig). Survived by loving brothers Chet (Dorothy), Ray (Ursula), and loving sister Delores (Mike) Franklin. She was the fond Aunt of 35. Verna's chosen vocation in her life was to be a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother to 10, great grandmother to 13, and great-great grandmother to 1. Verna and Bud raised their six children in Chicago near Wrigley Field and worshipped at Saint Andrew's Parish, where she was involved with Sunday Mass readings and giving communion to her fellow parishioners. Verna worked for the "Famous" Southport Department Store for many years and after 55 years on Janssen Ave. in Chicago moved to St. Charles to live with her Guardian Angels Diane and Andy. She loved her life in St. Charles, sitting on her sun porch watching the birds feed and the deer graze. She enjoyed attending church, playing cards with her friends and family, watching Wheel of Fortune and spoiling her grand dog Dixie Rose. She was a lifelong Cub Fan who finally got her wish for a World Series Championship!! She will be missed deeply and remembered fondly by all whose lives she's touched, which were countless!
