Timothy M. Rickter

d. Jun 25, 2026

Timothy Michael Rickter, age 59, passed away suddenly at home on the morning of  Thursday, June 25, 2026.  He was the beloved son of Patricia and the late Anthony Rickter, a devoted husband to Melissa, and a proud father to Jake (Payton), Justin (Anna), and Katie. He is also survived by his sisters, Kim (Joe) Pollina, and Kristin Rickter; his niece, Alyssa (Joe)  Prete, and his nephew, Jeffrey Pollina, who all cherished him deeply.  Tim grew up in Park Ridge, graduated from Maine South High School, and earned his degree in Business and Economics from St. Norbert College. He spent his career as a project manager in the IT services world, bringing his steady leadership and calm problem‑solving skills to ADP, Walgreens, and most recently Attalon. But anyone who knew Tim understood that his true calling wasn’t found in a job title — it was in his family and the neighborhood he loved. For decades, he poured his heart into the 600 block of Ottawa Avenue, supporting not only his parents but also the other residents, showing up when people needed him, and helping shape a community that felt like family.  Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 9, 2026, from 3:00–8:00 p.m. at Cooney Funeral Home, 625 Busse Highway, Park Ridge. A funeral mass will be held on Friday,  July 10, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Mary, Seat of Wisdom Church, 920 Granville Ave, Park Ridge.
